		<description>Linda, I think we&#039;re in the same camp.  I turned away from religion long ago on this basis - and also that even the best religions seem to use their teachings to tell people that they are wrong and make them feel bad.  I think there is a danger inherent in any organised body because once you put someone &#039;in charge&#039; they start to think they are &#039;right&#039; even if they didn&#039;t before.
What I have found lately is that there is a new expansion of spirituality as opposed to religion.  The difference is that it comes from within and the only truth is your own.
From that place I find I mind religion much less - my attitude now is that if it helps people be happier with life then I&#039;m happy with that.
I think this is a debate that will run and run!
